TLC Clinics are usually an all day event.  The theme of the clinics is, "Getting Back to Basics with Focus on Fluidity".  The day starts with an AM video taped speed run(whatever speed you currently compete or train at) as a training tool.  Tina will then demonstrate "TLC Barrels" and TLC work stations.  Then you will be continuously practicing for about 2 hours.  After a 1 hour lunch break it's time for one on one.  Tina will then ride each horse for a few minutes giving her a better idea of the horse.  She will instruct you on custom exercises for training and competing.  Each rider will then have time to practice what they have learned on the standard barrel pattern.  A final PM video taped speed run is done.  The day ends with handing out NOTES from the day, a DVD of your AM & PM runs and a sponsor gift bag to take home.  The clinic is geared to handle the beginner to the advanced rider &/or horse, based on the complexity of the work she has you attempt.  The last hour is for Q&A with discussions on anything from bits, mental game, warm up, conditioning, care, training and so on.  It's a great event, lunch & drinks are included for $120 at the Spangler Ranch and rates vary at indoor arenas.  Check in is 8am, clinic is from 9am to 5pm.

Renee and Maddie Hanners, Ft Myers, Florida- First let me start by saying you are an amazing women!  Maddy and I have taken 2 of your all day clinics and love your training techniques.  The clinics show the importance of slow work and perfect basics throughout the week.  Maddy's favorite part about the clinics was learning the perfect spots to look at each barrel.  The most important tip I took home from the clinics were BASICS.  If they are not there you have nothing.  I can't stress that enough after learning just how impotant they are.  With Tina's help Maddy has been riding my horse and consistantly placing and winning in the 1D Open shows and Rodeo's.  Biscuit, my 5 year old gelding is placing and winning in the 2D.  I would suggest everyone take a clinic no matter how experienced you are.  You can never learn to much.

Dear Tina,
I VERY much appreciated you coming down to teach us. I really got a lot more out of it than i thought i would, and learned so much. I appreciated the hard work and your smiling face always helped when gypsey was bein a booger. I really took to the fact I as a rider have so much to work on as well as my young horse, and now look foward to using your excersices and techniques to help the both of us in our everyday riding. You have really changed the way i see barrel racing and riding in general, and i really appreciate it. I will look foward to maybe meeting you agian in the future, and maybe than with a more mature me and a better gypsey. :0)

Thanx again for all your efforts and know they were very much appreciated!!!!
Sincerely,
Lexi Russell and Gypsey
